 Qantas (QF) and Tourism New Zealand (TNZ) have announced a new marketing partnership worth $4 million over two years, aimed at boosting visitor arrivals into New Zealand on QF flights.

 Fiji’s national carrier Air Pacific has revealed it will return to its 1958 name of Fiji Airways, and has named three strategic partnerships. The change is part of a phase of activities designed to return the airline to sustainable profitability.

 Air Tahiti Nui (TN) is offering new deals for the month of May on a selection of Tahiti holiday packages and fares. Until 28 May, 2012, fares between Auckland and Papeete, Tahiti, are priced from $905 return for economy class travel and from $2530 for business class.

 Air New Zealand (NZ) and alliance partner Virgin Australia (DJ) plan to boost capacity on the Auckland-Perth route by more than 20 per cent in the upcoming financial year. NZ group general manager Australasia Bruce Parton said Perth is one of the airline’s fastest growing routes, with a significant increase in demand over the past 12 months.

 Auckland Airport believes there is potential to grow international visitor arrivals to over 3.5 million by 2020, up from 2.6 million in 2011, and says the value generated by these visitors could grow ahead of official estimates, to at least $8.5 billion ($5.76 billion in 2011).

 Aircalin (SB) has extended the sale and travel periods for their offer of a complimentary overnight stay at the Novotel Auckland airport. Sales will continue until further notice. Travel is up to and including 1 December, 2012.
