Contiki’s Brazil experience in demand

ContikiSouthAmericacolourContiki Holidays has added another departure to its new Argentina and Brazil Experience trip on February 8, 2012 due to strong demand from clients travelling around the Rio Carnival. Departing to South America this November, the 10-day Argentina and Brazil Experience ex Buenos Aires itinerary begins just before Carnival, which starts on February 17, 2012.

Contiki Holidays general manager Tony Laskey said the addition proves how well Contiki’s newest destination South America has been welcomed by travellers.

“The overall South America programme is selling very well so we are already having to add new departures before the first tours start in November,” said Laskey. “This additional Argentina and Brazil Experience will be particularly well received by agents as it ties in with Carnival in Rio.”

The 10-day Argentina and Brazil Experience starts in Buenos Aires and includes Tango lessons in Argentina, Iguassu Falls, a Schooner boat cruise in Buzios, a visit to Copacabana Beach in Rio and more.

The trip is priced from $3179 per person twin share and includes nine nights’ accommodation, 12 meals, two domestic flights and transfers, transport, sightseeing, English speaking local guides as well as a tour manager.

Contiki’s new South America program has six tours spanning three Latin destinations - Peru, Argentina and Brazil. The other South America trips range from the eight-day Andes and Amazon Highlights to the 24-day The Adventurer which explores all three countries.

Groups will average around 20 travellers aged between 18-35 years old. Accommodation will be a mix of three-star hotels and special stays.
