Tourism Fiji is offering all consultants across New Zealand the opportunity to join the Matai ranks and have the chance to participate in a major Fiji famil for next November.
Scheduled to take place from November 13 to 20, Matai agents participating in the famil, Tourism Fiji’s biggest event of the year, will be split into five themed groups with each group visiting different parts of the archipelago.

These include the Yasawas, Mamanucas, the Suncoast, Coral Coast and the North.
Group themes include ‘Maroon Me’, ‘Lure Me’, ‘Stimulate Me’, ‘Mesmerise Me’ and ‘Rejuvenate Me’ with itineraries specifically geared to reflect each title.
While in Fiji, the Matais will be given the opportunity to sample many activities now available in Fiji.
These include zip lining, a Sigatoka River Safari, hot air ballooning, dolphin watching and day cruises on the water.
A highlight of the overall visit will be the opportunity to join thousands of local people to watch day one of Fiji’s newest domestic rugby tournament, the Coral Coast Sevens.
Taking place from November 19 to 20 the event is being sponsored by many of the local hotels and resorts and other tourism-related businesses in the region in order to encourage more visitors into the Coral Coast.
More than 50 Matais are expected to participate in the famil.
Consultants wishing to join the Matai programme and have the opportunity to join the famil can sign up for free and complete the online training via the Matai website at: www.fijimatai.com.
